How Jumia Instant Works

Delivering in under 4 hours amidst Dakar’s traffic is not magic; it is a matter of surgical preparation. The project, with an operational status now 100% validated across nearly all pillars, rests on three major innovations:

• The Strategic "Cut-off": The system relies on two critical dispatch waves. The first occurs at 10:00 AM to capture overnight and morning orders. The second, at 3:00 PM, serves as the ultimate deadline to guarantee the "same-day" 4-hour promise.

• Logistical Isolation: Within the warehouse, a specific storage zone and dedicated packing tables have been isolated exclusively for the "Instant" flow to prevent any friction with standard orders.

• Agile 3PL Integration: Rather than relying on a heavy fleet, Jumia Senegal has forged partnerships with agile players like Fat Fat and MCS. These specialists are trained to navigate dense traffic to respect the 4-hour window.

This shift to high gear also requires a paradigm shift for the user. To ensure the fluidity of the chain, Jumia Instant mandates a 100% prepaid model.
