A robust and efficient logistics network has always been fundamental to Jumia's mission of facilitating commerce across Africa. Our extensive network of Pick-Up Stations (PUS), delivery routes, and technology infrastructure enables millions of transactions on our e-commerce platform. But what if this powerful asset could do even more?
Now, through Jumia Delivery, we're extending the value of our established logistics capabilities to serve a broader market beyond our core platform.
Unlocking Potential: From Internal Asset to External Service
Jumia Delivery utilizes the same infrastructure that powers our marketplace, particularly our extensive PUS network, to provide an affordable and reliable Pick-Up Station-to-Pick-Up Station shipping service to external customers. This means individuals, small businesses, and even larger enterprises can now tap into Jumia's logistics expertise and reach to send packages across cities and regions, regardless of whether the transaction originated on the Jumia platform.

Customers can simply drop off their packages at a convenient Jumia PUS, and we handle the delivery to the recipient's chosen PUS, complete with the real-time tracking and reliability that Jumia is known for.
Why Jumia Delivery Matters
This initiative represents more than just a new service; it's a smart evolution of our business model with several key benefits:
Asset Monetization:Â It allows us to efficiently monetize the significant investments already made in our logistics network, driving incremental revenue from existing infrastructure and operational know-how.
Supporting SMEs & Individuals:Â Many sellers and individuals across Africa face challenges with reliable and affordable shipping. Jumia Delivery provides a much-needed solution, empowering small businesses (including many of our own vendors selling through other channels) and individuals to connect and trade more easily.
Strengthening the Ecosystem:Â By extending our logistics services, we further embed Jumia within the fabric of African commerce, reinforcing our position as a comprehensive enabler for businesses and consumers alike. It fosters a more interconnected and efficient market.
